  • Insomnia

Sleep problems and disturbances are common issues in Parkinson’s.

Exhaustion resulting from the condition leads to desperation in finding extreme cures:

the bile of a castrated boar-massage dormouse fat on your feet-eat lettuce-curling and uncurling your toes-smear doggie ear wax on your teeth-bedtime snacks of sea slug entrails

  • Injury

Possibly one of the most prominent features; an ever-present danger.

Again consider a padded cell to reduce danger.

  • Inspiration

All people with Parkinson’s (and all chronic illnesses)

You are amazing.

  • Intimacy

Parkinson's has an impact on sexual function and intimacy at many levels. Sheer exhaustion and pain play a big part. Neurologists would be advised to ask patients and engage on this subject with compassion.

However, in lieu of effective care, good chocolate, wine and flowers are quite acceptable substitutes.
